We are excited to offer a four-day intensive ballet conducting workshop with Principal Conductor of American Ballet Theatre, Charles Barker.

Ballet demands a unique kind of musical leadership — it requires an understanding of choreography, movement, stage awareness, theatrical savvy, flexibility, timing, and constant communication with dancers.

This workshop offers conductors a unique opportunity to study the art and practice of ballet conducting directly with one of the field's leading practitioners.

Whether you are interested in ballet, opera, or becoming a more versatile orchestral conductor, this is an opportunity to expand your musical vocabulary, work with industry professionals, and experience what it means to lead an orchestra in collaboration with the stage.

This workshop is subject to minimum enrollment. If the number of participants falls below the minimum required, the workshop may be cancelled and tuition refunded in full.
